Speaking
I’m available for speaking engagements on a variety of topics, particularly if they are in the Toronto area. My two most common topics recently have been:
Making Twitter Work for your Organization.
This constantly evolving presentation (which has been very well received at a variety of conferences and organizations) focuses on understanding the strategic uses of Twitter, particularly in the area of engaging with customers. It’s currently broken out into three main parts. The first covers the six phases of Twitter’s evolution that we have witnessed over the last year, and what this means for the platform going forward. The second provides details on the Twitter Brand Engagement Matrix I developed, and how companies can use it to help strategically manage their portfolio of Twitter accounts. The last part connects Twitter with the big ideas our research is exploring right now – nexus economics, competing through collaborative platforms, unbounded data, and pervasive personal identity. Upon request, how Twitter can integrate into a broader social media strategy is also covered.
Enabling a Prosumer Experience. Prosumerism (when customers become actively engaged in the innovation around, and the creation of, the products and services they consume) has been one of my primary research topics for years. The presentation is continuously evolving, but it always tells the story of how these powerful, collaborative communities are evolving – with examples ranging from Dilbert Mash Up cartoons through Dell IdeaStorm, Motley Fool, and countless others. A compelling topic for people that are looking for different ways of thinking about their business in relation to the Web 2.0.
There are a variety of others that I, or somebody else that I collaborate with, can deliver on a variety of topics around the common themes of wikinomics, social media, and customer engagement. Feel free to contact me at denisbhancock (at) gmail.com if you are interested.
